The K1 Britannia Foundation was asked to check out the Dutch Quarter community center (shelter) to see if it was livable after the hurricane and did a bit of ground work in assessing the damages to the island along with the other local organizations. Along the way, we met with and comforted those who needed encouragement following the shock of the devastation. K1 Volunteers helped to clear rubble and debris hours after the hurricane passed St Maarten.
